The new rating system produced lower, more realistic numbers for any given engine. At the same time, emissions regulations were demanding cleaner exhaust. Engines including the 440 were made with reduced compression, modified cam timing, and other tuning measures to comply with the newly-tightened emissions regulations. The 1972 440 produced 335 bhp (250 kW) (gross) at 4400 rpm; the new net rating was 225 hp (168 kW)—which very closely coincided with period German DIN ratings and TÜV measurements.

The 440 was produced from 1966 until 1978, making it the last version of the Chrysler RB block. It had a cast iron block with iron heads and a bore of 4.32 inches (110 mm) From 1967 to 1971 the high performance version was rated at 375 brake horsepower (280 kW) (370 brake horsepower (276 kW) in 1971) at 4700 rpm with a single four barrel carburetor, and from 1969 to 1971, the highest output version had a 3-2 bbl. intake setup ("440 Six Pack" for Dodge, "440 6 Barrel" for Plymouth) producing 390 brake horsepower (291 kW) (385 brake horsepower (287 kW) in '71).

puvodne v tom byla obycejna 440, ta hi-performance pochazejici z '69 Chargeru se tam dostala az vloni, protoze puvodni motor byl zabit hned po dovozu

Caddy, co za paka to auto dělala? Píšeš, že je zprzněná rekontrukce, novej ale blbej lak a ´´zabitej motor po dovozu´´.

lak je typicky americky..bez odstrojeni, bez poradnych oprav a pripravy, takze uz to zase hnije, misty pomeranc a jine nekvality....motor je jina kapitola. Auto bylo dovezeno a aby se usetrilo, jelo se z Hamburgu po ose, aniz by se snad vubec kouklo na olej apod. Takze to zahy dojezdilo. Pak se dlouhosahle resil novy motor, ten se nasel, borec v New Yorku ho zrepasoval....ovsem zase cestou co nejnizsich nakladu, takze se vymenilo to, co bylo fak tnutne a jinak stylem "hele, saly na klice jsou OK, ty tam nechame" apod...no a majiteli snad ani neprislo, ze by to auto bylo spatne....pritom jelo tak na sest valcu, strasne rany, jako bys mlatil palici do bloku atd....asi to odtahnem na dilnu a jeste zkouknem, protoze se mi to auto fakt strasne libi, ale moc sanci tomu nedavam, ze to nakonec nebude tak vazny....

Typyco, imperial, to bys me radne nasral! To je moje vysnene auto. Ja bych teda radeji 73 a hlavne dvojdvirko, ale tam je rozdil vpodstate jen v tech gumach na narazniku navic a trochu jinejch zrcatkach. Akorat teda nevim jak moc ty sroubky apod. jsou origo

Takze je to nejaka socka dokonce Pravy zrcatko byla priplatkova. Jeste tusim casovac svetel a pak uz jen ruzne kraviny. Klimu a pod. beru jako samozrejmost.

Za sedmu bych to asi vymenil i kdyz to bude v tomhle stavu, teda ten lak podle popisu je asi dost hruza , nicmene to bych opravoal holt sprejem.

Docela by me zajmala ta polozka R33 - to ma takovej ten divne 8track na podlaze? Navic predpokladam, ze to ABS uz bude take demontovany.
